Acupuncture

Acupuncture Acupuncture is one of the oldest and most commonly used medical procedures in the world! It was developed in China over 3000 years ago and has gained in popularity in the United States since 1972. In 1973, the World Health Organization recommended acupuncture for 43 kinds of illnesses and symptoms, including nausea and vomiting, asthma, dental pain, and rehabilitation from the neurological damage of stroke. According to statistics taken in China, acupuncture is proven to effectively treat more than 200 kinds of diseases and symptoms. In 2004, a study in the U.S. by the National Institutes of Health shows acupuncture relieves pain and improves function in people with osteoarthritis of the knee.
